  Talking of video games, could anyone code a Sparlock video game and release it under the GPL as open source/freeware? If no-one is making money from it, could they still sue for copyright infringement?

  I saw the same thing when I was snooping around the JWTalk nuthouse. It was the reaction of the dubbie taliban that disgusted me most, clapping with delight (in emoticon form) at this insipid drivel. Does anyone else feel like they need a bath after going over there?

  OK, I am too old and missing it - but what is this SPARLOCK phenomenon?

  at first, i thought it was some legitimate cartoon character (disney or such) that the society was putting down as "demonized".. then, i started getting the idea that perhaps (unbelievably) the society had made him up as a negative "teaching device" to warn jw kids about "worldly demonism".... can this possibly be true?.

  surely not even the wtbts could be that stupid!!!.

  can somebody explain this to me, please???

  it's been a long while since i've posted (i am completely out - wife and kids still in) but thought you might this interesting.. they came home from the district convention yesterday with the new dvd intended for kids.

  Windows 8 beta, the tiles interface sucks

  i downloaded and installed windows 8 beta on a six year old laptop to check it out.

  i found out i don't like the new graphical tiles interface at all.

  maybe i am just stuck in the old windows format and don't like change.

  That pre-installed crapware will kill you every time. My Windows-running Toshiba was riddled with it at first and was truly hamstrung by it. Once I'd flushed it out it flew by comparison. I'm about to switch Linux distribution on my other Tosh so perhaps I'll have a play with Win8 first, purely out of scientific curiosity, of course...

  My laptop and I put on biohazard suits and went for a troll over on jwtalk, and they are lapping it up over there. Except... they're upset it's been leaked onto the apostanet, and not very nice things have been said on youtube. Oh dear, how sad, never mind...
